FishLogAI — Last updated: April 28, 2026

Introduction

FishLogAI (“the App”) is a lobster fishing log and nautical chart application designed for commercial lobster fishermen in New England. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding your data.

Information We Collect

FishLogAI is designed with a local-first approach. All of your data stays on your device. We do not operate user accounts, cloud databases, or servers that receive your personal data.

How We Use Your Information

All data you enter into FishLogAI is used solely to provide the App’s core functionality:

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the features described above.

Data Storage and Retention

Your fishing log data is stored locally on your device only, using SQLite on iOS and Android. We do not maintain any central database or cloud storage of your fishing records. No user data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Your data is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed. If you delete the App, all locally stored data will be permanently removed from your device. Since we do not store any user data on servers, there is no cloud data to retain or delete.

Third-Party Services

The App connects to the following external services to provide functionality. These services receive only the geographic coordinates necessary to return relevant data. No personal information or fishing log data is shared with any of these services.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data or fishing records with any third parties. Your data leaves your device only when you explicitly choose to export it (for example, via CSV export through the iOS share sheet).

Children’s Privacy

FishLogAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

Because all data is stored locally on your device and we do not maintain any server-side records, you have full control over your data at all times.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
